New WD Ultrastar 10TB poor test results

Few days before I bought new WD Ultrastar 10TB 7200 HDD. I made a Test with Victoria HDD scan and test ended after about 20h. There was big drops of speed which represented in the programs scale. Also it collected many green blocks. I have HGST Ultrastar 6TB and it’s results are different, nice scale and no green blocks. In store where I bought it, they said that it’s speeds looks low but yet it not meet requirements for replacement. Do You think I need worry about it ant such a HDD will slowly fail or it’s safe to use? Thanks.

Is that drive SMR/TDMR? If so that’s expected behaviour.

Whilst it doesn’t explicitly say so in the datasheet, the reference to “non-volatile cache” and “write splice protection” is a big clue that it’s going on under the covers (you don’t do write splicing on a CMR drive - it’s a SMR thing)
