I just bought a new asus laptp running windows 8 and while it is connected to the network, my book live does not show up under the network on the laptop. it is still there on the old laptop… Im no computer wizard…
Hi billygetsmail, welcome to the WD Community. Make sure the laptop is on the same workgroup as the My Book Live. You can also try using the Discovery tool to find the My Book Live on the network.
Check page 67 of the manual for more information how to find the My Book Live workgroup, by default the MBL will use the “WORKGROUP” name.
