I just bought a WD Passport and I plugged it in and nothing’s happenning. It won’t allow me to put anything on it. Any suggestions?? Thanks!
Was this a drive specifically for a Mac? Drives for Windows come formatted NTFS and are read only on a Mac and would need to be reformatted.

Oh shoot. It does say file system NTFS. Any idea how I reformat it??

Disk utility
Select the drive (Will show the space on the left)
Partition
Volume scheme to 1 for a full drive
Options
GUID if your Mac is Intel; Apple Partition if you use an older G4/^5/IBM Mac
Select Mac OS extended journaled as the format
Partition
