Just bought it, plugged it into my PC and installed everything. 

But when I connected it my laptop Mac, I was not able to add or change anything, I could  just read. I’ve been at it for one day now and I have no idea how to fix this. The whole idea with this disk was to use with my Mac while travelling (video editing etc)

Anyone know how to fix this? I’m on the verge on stabbing myself.

Anybody know anything? I’m soon about to travel and would like it fixed before I leave.

You’ll either have to reformat it, or install other utilities/drivers.

NTFS drives are “read-only” to the standard Mac OS.

It says that several times on the specs pages and in the manuals and elsewhere:

Compatibility

 

  • Formatted NTFS
  • Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7
  • Requires reformatting for Mac OS X Leopard, Snow Leopard
