Hi all,
I jost got a MyCloud EX4 without any drives.
The system was “forgotten” in a cabinet and to what I was told it has never been used.
I found it and wanted to give it a try.
Inserted one empty HDD and after powering on all I get is a flashing blue Power LED, hearing the drive spinning up and a blue static LED beside it. But after a few seconds the Power LED starts flashing red. And that’s it.
Display just keeps saying “Welcome to WD My Cloud EX4”, HDD keeps spinning but nothing more. LAN LED shows link, so does the switch, but no IP pulled from DHCP. Fan is working too.
I guess it’s kind of “bricked”. Any way to “unbrick” or recover the system?
