MyBook Thunderbolt Duo won't power up

I have a MyBook Thunderbolt Duo that I haven’t powered up in a while. I plugged it in and the LED is blinking white slowly and I can hear the drives trying to spin up but they cut out about every 1 second. Its sort of like I’m plugging and unplugging the power cord every second.

The wall wart is the correct one, and is working. I’m pretty sure its an internal issue. My question is, can I pull the drives and put them in another enclosure and rebuild the RAID somehow? I can’t really remember what is on the drive, so its not worth hundreds or thousands of dollars to recover, but if I can mess around with them and get them mounted, I’ll do it. It will be formatted MAC HFS most likely, but I do have access to a PC with internal bays, and I have my macbook pro to use.

Any ideas? Do I try to find a new WD enclosure? Does it need to be a WD? I do have a couple of old Firewire dual drive enclosures I can put the drives in.
