So the question to you WD folk is should I wait for you to release a device that supports HEVC or should I just buy the Himedia Q10 IV that gives me this support now?

You shouldn’t wait. However, since HEVC will take quite some time to mature I don’t see no reason to upgrade anytime soon.

There is a need to upgrade now. Most of the stuff on the torrents is already HEVC.
Really? Name one. I find that hard to believe given how long it’s taken the scene to even move to h.264.
