My Passport Wireless on Mac. mypassport.local does not connect the IP address 192.168.60.1 works OK

Using the WD Quickview link does not work for the same reason.

Any thoughts?

My Mac is connected to the MyPassport Wireless WiFI. The MyPassport Wireless is connected to my main WiFi Internet connection. So browsing works OK.

I tried http://mypassport.local as well, it did not connect.

Hello Tokyo, try using just “mypassport” as the address, also try to ping the Passport Wireless using the name to see if you get any reply.

Using mypassport results in Safari taking it as a web search.

Did you try entering 192.168.60.1 to access it?

if you renamed your MyPassport to be something else (for example)  mypassport555, then you need to enter: mypassport555.local
