My Passport will not back up after upgrading to OS Mac Sierra. No software for 10.12.1. Had support walk me through deleting disc and putting a new disc back on. Still fails. Internet says problem is no software for Sierra.
You should be able to use Apple Time Machine with your WD Passport.
