My Passport for Mac won't show on Windows 8.1

Hey guys!

I have one 2TB My Passport for Mac (3814B) wich I’ve been using for a while with my MacBook Air. The deal is I’m using one desktop PC for work, running Windows 8.1. When I plug the drive, Windows does recognizes it, and pops up the

WD Unlocker Tool. I run the tool and unlock the drive, but still, the only thing that shows at the Windows Explorer or

My computer is the D: unit as being the WD Unlocker. I cannot reach the unit or the files. Have already download the

WD Utilities which tested ok for the drive!

Could you guys help me out?

Best!
Gian

Anyone?:cry::smiley:

Hi and welcome to the WD community.

The reason the drive would not come up on your windows PC is, because the passport for Mac is pre-formatted on HFS+ so this means that it would not come up on a windows computer since it is a Apple file system, My best advice is to format your drive in a way that you can access it from a windows PC and a Apple computer. Very important: When you format a drive, this will erase the drive so make sure you have your data in a different place before you reformat the drive.

Hope this helps you out
