My Passport For Mac... Need to open in Windows

Hello,

I own My Passport for Mac 500gb. I sold my Macbook computer. I now have Windows 7 computer. I can no longer access the files in the drive. It is also password protected so the softwares available online are unable to access it because the drive is now encrypted.

My question is, if I mounted a virtual MacOSX operating system to windows, would the virtual machine allow me to access the files? I cannot format the drive for Windows as I would lose all the files within.

I do not know anyone with a Mac that could assist me.

No, It will provide you only the UI of macOS but process of data access would be done by primary Operating System which doesn’t support incompatible file format.
