My Passport Essential SE - 750GB only showing a 698GB capacity?

Hello,

Is my drive defective or something? I understand that drives don’t always have the capacity stated but, I am missing more than 50GB… That is alot…

I just bought it today, any ideas?

The size you are getting is the right one.  The thing is that 750GB is in DECIMAL while the 698GB is in BINARY. Computer read the size in BINARY not DECIMAL.
