I need an adaptor cable to esata for my passport 2tb external hdd, wd part number wdby8l00203sl-01.
The Socket on this drive appears to be a unique type.
The reasons for this is to Test the Transfer speeds using two different connections ie; Esata and USB3.
Hello,
Please note that using an adapter, will not give you an accurate reading on the transfer speed since the transfer speed will around the slowest connection that you are using.
Thanks for your thoughts ( ERmorel ) , but I don’t mean an Adaptor because I amware of Loss, anyway what I really need is a Cable with a Plug on one end to fit the My Passport and on the other end either and ESata or Sata.
The Socket on the My Passport is actually two small sockets in one, on one side it takes a micro usb the other side I don’t know what that is.
I just have a Gut Feeling that I can get Faster Transfers from it insted of usb3 if I could atatch it to either an esata or sata socket on the motherboard.
