USB to SATA adaptor for Passport Ultra

Hi everyone,

Is there a USB to SATA adaptor available for the Passport Ultra?
The HD is showing up in Windows 7 but I can’t access it. I tried attaching it to a multi-caddy but the USB 3.0 connection (which is weirdly attached to the board) stops it from attaching.

Is there a way round this? Can I take off the 3.0 connection safely?

Thanks

Hello,

WD does not manufacture this kind of adapters. I have never used this kind of adapters but maybe another user has some experience and will be able to point you in the right direction. If you wish to recover the data from the drive then I recommend you contact a data recovery company.
