My Cloud EX4100, using only 2 bays

I want to buy the EX4100 and only use 2 drives with RAID 1 (mirror) for now, with the idea that later when the need for more storage is there, I can add more drives and reconfigure.
Does the EX4100 allow for this?

They may have to be configured as separate volumes. You may not be able to migrate the original volume into a larger or different RAID level without deleting the entire volume and creating a new one.
