My Book Live issue - Can't access

Hello there

Well my drive networked My Book Live drive was behaving oddly - slow to access files etc. After a while I then wasn’t able to access the shares on the drive via SMB, HTTP or the WD apps via the router or direct network cable connection. I reset the device but it still didn’t connect using the web address. The light indicator on the front also stopped working.

After much fiddling I decided to remove the drive and try to use DiskInternals Linux Reader. I desperately need to try and access and copy over the files to a new drive. The software populates the different partitions but I can’t find my data

Anyone know where the data lives on this drive? Why is there two partitions of the same size on the drive? Does the data normally live in the /CacheVolume drive?

I’ve tried mounting the drive from a USB Live Ubuntu drive but it can’t mount the drive.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Ok I came across R-Linux which is looking more promising. I will update once it is done aopening the drive files.

R-Linux did the job - I highly recommend using this freeware app for checking and copying files from Linux partitions within Windows.
