I have a mybook live set up that has now stopped working and has a red light. Does anyone have any simple solutions of how I may be able to recover my data. I am feeling a little concerned that my photos are now unaccessible and I am also concerned about using another mybook live. Any help would be appreciated.
I assume you tried a few times to unplug and power up the MBL…
If you lost all access to your MBL (ssh or web), you will need consult the “debricking guide”.
Most likely your drive died and in that case you will have to open the case of your MBL.
You will also need a Linux system to mount the drive. While it’s technically possible on a Windows system, it’s dangerous and difficult.
