the My Book Essential works on my Mac, but when I try to access the files on a PC, it doesn’t show up under “removeable drives.” However, it appears in Device Manager.
I’ve downloaded the driver, but to no avail.
I’m currently trying to connect to a Windows XP PC.
The drives use different formats I guess you could call them file systems. I don’t know much about Macs most software for this is pay. I did see this free one http://www.catacombae.org/hfsx.html Do you intend to use the drive on both Mac and Windows? If not you can simply reformat it for Windows NTFS that will wipeout all data on it.
