Hello. I have a problem with my external hdd (WD My book Essential 1TB usb 3.0). I have windows 10 x64 on my pc and I noticed that my external drive is not showing. (it was working) now it doesn`t show it in Disk Management, or down at Devices and Printers. I restarted it, switch USB ports (even 2.0), installed WD Ses and other programs and I had no success. I had an error message in the Devices and printers, but I managed to get rid of it, but the hdd did not show up. Any suggestions ?
Does it show up on other computers? What about when using a different USB cable?
I tried now on another PC (no activity) and also on a tv usb. The usb port is dead (as I dont plug in nothing). I can make something or I should think to get it to garbage ?
I also tried another cable (phone cable- micro usb) as i do not had other usb type c. Nothing on tv and on the 1st PC
I feel it although to vibrate as before…
That sounds like there is a possibility the drive has been damaged or has failed. I would contact support and see what they advise.
