My Book Essential - replaced board and i can´t find my data

I replaced the exact same board and I can´t access my data.
When I connect the external drive My Book to a computer, in Windows Explorer the following drive appears:

WhatsApp Image 2021-09-21 at 11.46.281600×1200 266 KB

And I can’t see the partition with the data:

Does anyone have any idea how I can access my data?

Hi @MMadruga,

If there is no partition and data on the drive, it will appear as Unallocated , with a black bar on top. Right-click the Unallocated space or the black bar, and click New Simple Volume .

@Neha_07 , thanks. But do you think my data is no longer on HD? I was hoping to recover my data

I request Western Digital does neither cover Data Recovery under its warranty policy nor has any in-house data recovery service.

@Neha_07 , yes, I’ve seen it with them. In your opinion is there any more reliable software to try to recover the data?

@dswv42 , I didn’t know that until the drive failed last week. Ten years of use…
I saw videos on Youtube of a company in Canada that does this chip removal and re-installation: www.hdd-parts.com
