After using for just a month, my new Mybook duo 20 TB (set as raid 1) won’t show up in the computer. It is shown as no raid setting in the WD drive utilities. It cannot be detected by data recovery software. I think the raid 1 setting of my book duo is protecting my data as there is a mirror copy in another disk. However, when the enclosure failed like this, I couldn’t access to any data in BOTH disks (I believe there is no physical damage of my 2 hard disks). Any suggestion other than going to a data recovery company? Thanks.

You can try to perform the test on the drive using WD Drive Utilities and check for the problem.
Can he use a replacement enclosure??
