Major issues with My Passport Ultra

Lately I’ve been having a lot of issues with my passport ultra external hard drive.
So here are the multiple problems:

  1. WD Drive unlocker keeps saying that password is incorrect even if it’s the right one. I need to try A LOT of times in order to gain access to the hard drive
  2. Cannot access folders once I get access to the drive, if I try, the file explorer keeps not responding

I don’t want to have to format the drive as it possesses very very important information that I should’ve backed up but cannot be deleted
