Is this HDD built for Surveillance too?

Hi to all,

I know purple category is for surveillance, but I have the HDD in image attached and if this works for surveillance within an NVR system, I won´t buy another HDD.

I ask because I found in ebay or amazon that a HDD like this in its description appears “for CCTV, NVR, DVR, surveillance, etc”

But, with a Manufacture date of 13 AUG 2012 … i wouldn’t expect an 11 year old hard drive to last too many more years under 24 Hour Operation.
