Is there a way to view a log showing "Which users have logged into my device with date and time?

Hi all,

First post so apologies if this is in the wrong area or what have you.

We use the 4TB MyCloud network device for our very small company. We have had one person who has left and is possibly using our templates for other work (which he can’t do).

I’m hoping there is a way in which i can view a log showing who has accessed my device and at what date and time it was accessed? I have the logs downloaded but am unsure where i could possibly find this information.

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance

Michael

Similar questions have been asked in the past. The single bay My Cloud units officially do not have such a feature. Unofficially one may be able to look at the log(s) and devine some of that information. One can use the forum search feature, magnifying glass icon upper right, to find various past discussions. Here are a few:

If you have a gen1 My Cloud you can use the last command when you ssh into the device. For some reason
neither the last command or the wtmp file are created on the gen2.

Awesome thank you. Unfortunately it couldn’t help me. thank you though!!!

Ahhh i’m just looking now but after going through everything, and if what you’re saying is correct - we must have gen 2. Thank you for your help!!!

You have a gen2 if the firmware is V2. The gen1 has V4 firmware.
