I’m unable to connect to my cloud.com and my cloud app on iPhone and iPad, I don’t see any comments about it being down.
I’m able to access mycloud.com (tried from both my work and home connections)
Thank you, I just tried and was able to connect, seems very sluggish but at least it connects now. Maybe it was just a hiccup.
I don’t have any idea what is going on with remote access to MyCloud devices and it seems WD doesn’t either. I have two 3TB MyBook Live NAS devices and both of them are continuously accessible from MyCloud without error. However, my 4TB MyCloud device will not stay connected for remote access. I have rebooted this unit at least 15 times (both the 4 second and 40 second methods) and it becomes accessible for one remote access and then drops off the radar again. This is extremely frustrating and has been happening since the WD server outage a few weeks ago. No amount of WD tech support contact has resolved this issue. I have purchased a Synology DS116 and thought getting it set up is challenging, it is reliable. That being said, so are the WD MyBook Live units at least in my experience. So, I now believe this problem is probably only related to the MyCloud firmware. It sure would be nice if WD would fix this problem instead of telling everyone to reboot their devices over and over and to make sure you have the latest firmware. Obviously the latest firmware is crud.
