Iphone X Timing Out

Hi,
I have an Iphone X and I installed the My Cloud app on my Iphone so that I can backup my photos and videos to my My Book Live drive. The problem I am running into is that my iphone locks (I can’t figure out a way to not have the Iphone X lock as the maximum seems to be 5 minutes) and when it does, my backup is interrupted. I wanted to see if anyone has run into this problem and if so, how they are solving it.
