In 10 days 2 units break exactly the same. update?

In 10 days 2 My Cloud break exactly the same, fix red light and no way to contact them.
I have removed the internal hard drive and connected by USB directly to pc, Windows recognizes it but can not access the information. As if it couldn’t recognize the partitions. Can any update have caused the problem in my 2 units? Cause is strange to have the same problem after 10 days. Any solution?

Have you changed the router or broadband provider recently? There is a known issue with certain routers and the My Cloud device.

The single bay My My Cloud units are formatted for Linux (ext4/ext3). Windows will not read the hard drive contents without a third party driver. See the following discussion for more information.
