If I Format My Passport, What Happens to the Unlocker Tool?

I am going to use a 3rd party software to do a full format of the drive or I might encrypt the whole drive too, but will that lose the unlocker tool that normally pops up to lock or unlock it? How will I get that back to re-add a password after?

Hi,

There is no way to remove it from the disk. Once you’ll reformat the drive, you could set a password using WD Security and use WD Drive Unlock application.

So is there no way to remove the WD UNlocker partition of the drive?

I found out that if you use the WD Security for Windows and remove the password, the partition goes away.
