Removing password protection from My Passport after formatting

I have a My passport 1TB which was password protected but the password was not working. I formatted the drive and deleted the WD software and now is completely locked. Can anybody please advice how i can really remove the password.

Hello,

The password protection security should be removed when you format the drive.

Try writing zeros using WD DLG.
