I got a “My Book Passport Ultra 3TB”. When I eject the hard drive it continues spinning and Im afraid of disconnecting it because I could lose some information or make the hard drive fails some way. Is there a way to disconnect a Hard Drive in Mac (Besides the dragging to the trash). Is my Hard Drive wrong?

The drive keep on spinning as long as the drive is connected to the USB, but when you drag the drive to the trash it logically disconnects the drive from the computer so is not going to be accessed anymore and can be disconnected from the USB.
