I CANNOT SEE MY PASSPORT FOR MAC IN THE FINDER>DEVICES OR DISK UTILITY
I can only see the My Passport in the system report hardware tree, also when trying to update the firmware it asked to accept the license agreetment and was told the device is locked and to unlock and click continue. Problem is I dont know how to get to a screen to unock it if i cannot detect it on my mac!
IS THIS YOSMITE RELATED? only it worked fine the pasy 8 months and the only change recently was the upgrade to Yosmite.
Any updates or further advice would be greatly appreciated, i have years of work documents and 23,000 photos on this device, also all my time machine backups are on this drive!!!
I can see from the community boards I am NOT the onl one having this problem, can someone please update us all as to what the cause us and the eta on a fix. Also can someone explain how I might go about unlocking the harddrive if it doesnt show in my devices or utility drive? and why is it seen in system report?
