How to Reset MySQL Password on My Cloud Ex 2 Ultra

Hi all,

I just found out my My Cloud Ex 2 Ultra had MySQL and MyPHPAdmin. I logged in and created a strong password with a password manager, but I suspect some of the special characters were mis-interpreted. Is there a way to reset the root password for MySQL and MyPHPAdmin on the NAS? I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling MyPHPAdmin and deleting the .@database@ folder, with lots of rebooting in between. Nothing seems to help. Any ideas on how I might proceed?

Hello, do you have found a solution? im stucking on the same problem.

There are no good solutions; WD could have a better solution without much effort. I had to do a factory reset, but I was lucky enough to be able to transfer my data to other devices in advance.
