How do I reset or recover my password?

I made a password and put some adult movies into a directory. I forgot what I set the password to! What do I do?

SETUP / SYSTEM / DEVICE RESET

Will device reset get rid of my files? It’s taken DAYS to transfer these files over… like I dunno how many mp3 albums I just copied over, but it’s been about 50 minutes now for maybe 14 or 15 albums.

If the password is that easy to get around then why do they even have it there?

No, a rest will not delete any files.

I agree.

The password protection is a relatively new feature.   There may be additional tweaks coming.

In my opinion, a factory restore should delete anything in a password protected folder.

Think yourself lucky it is that simple plus when you add a new password make it something easy to remember like ‘adultmovies’ or part of your telephone number. Its not designed to kept out the professional hacker who wants your money etc, just a child or somebody you don’t want watching the film.
