I’ve had periodic issues on programs installed on my HDD (games freeze for 20 to 30 seconds). Each event corresponds with a Warning Event 129 and/or 153.
It’s been recommended that I try updating the drivers, but I’m having a difficult time finding the newest version (if there is one: Windows 11 seems to think that the driver I have, dated 6/21/2006, is the most recent). Could anyone point me in the right direction? Thank you for your assistance.
Scan the drive with HDDScan. Look for any “slow” sectors.
A SMART report may provide additional info.
