Good Evening, I’m using a friend’s My Book Studio for editing a video project. My Macbook Pro 15" 2 GHz Intel Core i7, running Lion, can’t see the drive. I’ve installed the latest drive manager and it hasn’t fixed the problem. I believe it’s only workable if I have a My Book Studio 2? Can anyone suggest how I might get the older drive (My Book Studio 1) working on my newer machine.

Did you check if the drive is on disk utility? What if you change connections (USB/Firewire) or check if there’s a firmware update on WD’s site?
