<h1>HELP BLINKING</h1>

I had the my cloud for a while now 1TB
since a couple months it has not worked when trying to use it
in the past if I unplugged and re plugged it worked but lately it has not worked I moved it to be seen upstairs it just blinks orange light then went goes solid orange and back to blinking
Firmware is up to date

so please help
also understand I was in a bad accident since bought so please dumb down answer

Do you hear clicking sounds when the unit is connected? Did you reset the unit by holding the switch on the back? It requires a paperclip or something as small.

After you moved it upstairs, is it now a long way from your router?

If so, what cable did you use to connect it to the router? Was it Cat5e rated?

What colour are the LEDs on the network port at the back of the MyCloud?

What happens if you move it back to its original location, where it was working?

I must of been distance I put it back in old location and working
But that’s not resolve prob that some times it does not connect using same location
Works once unplugged and re plugged it can work for a couple days then nothing till unplugged agian

Have you set a fixed IP for the device using your router’s control panel/UI?

When it ‘stops working’ with the short distance connection, does the front LED flash yellow? Or what does it do? What do you mean by ‘not working’, exactly?

It’s currently working perfect so I can’t say what color whn not working
But there is no light on the front but still able to get fillies
Using my phone or computer
