G RAID Won't start-up

I solved this problem – by using a power connection from a more recent G-Raid – not sure why t worked but it did.
I have a G Raid 2TB drive that I bought 7 years ago. It’s lightly used but now it won’t start up. When I connect it to power and to my desktop Mac via a mini USB it flickers on for about 3 seconds and flickers off. I have a documentary on it that I need to retrieve. Any suggestions?
