Can anyone verify that the G Drive Thunderbolt external hard drive be daisy chained, specifically the 10TB model? I’ve seen that you can change up to six (6) using Thunderbolt but none of the documentation that I can find states this. I’ve also heard that the drives all have to be the exactly the same. I tried contacting support but for some reason there is never an answer and I’m automatically disconnected.
The G-Drive w/ Thunderbolt cannot be daisy chained because it only has 1 Thunderbolt port on it.
You need 2 ports to daisy chain.
Since this is a home type environment, is there a G-Tech hard drive that is in the range of 10TB that can be daisy chained or is the only solution to go to a raid type configuration that comes with a much higher cost. What about the G-Drive with Thunderbolt 3. It looks like it comes with two Thunderbolt 3 ports but can you adapt them to thunderbolt 2 for chaining?
For Thunderbolt daisy chaining you’ll need a G-RAID.
The one with TB3 has 2 ports, You should be able to chain with the adapters as well.
