G Drive Remaining Space Innacurate

I have a folder that is 8 TB.
My G Drive is 18 TB.

I should have 10 TB available.

“Getting Info” is the Mac settings shows only 4 TB available. I have emptied Trash twice.

How can an 8 TB folder only leave me with what my Mac says is 4 TB remaining.
Is there a G Technology Ap that will read this drive more correctly?
