Ich möchte für meine beste Freundin ein paar Ordner auf meinem WD MyCloud 2 TB freigeben, damit sie Zugriff auf die hinterlegten Videos und Filme hat.
Ich kann es aber nirgends explizit festlegen. Entweder alles oder gar nix. Andere Auswahlmöglichkeiten werden mir laut Benutzeroberfläche von der WD MyCloud nicht angeboten. Klar, Vertrauen habe ich zu 10000000000 % zu dieser Person, aber wenn die Person ihr Notebook außer acht lässt und andere Personen Zugriff darauf haben… Deswegen möchte ich es nicht. Ach ja, Speicherplatz soll die beste Freundin aber auch nicht bekommen - weil sie es nicht braucht. Auch das Handbuch gibt dazu keine Auskunft. Habe ich vielleicht auch nur irgendetwas überlesen?

When you create a new User, a Share for that User is also created on the My Cloud. One can then configure that Share to Private and limit who can access it. One can prevent that User from accessing other Private Shares. Once the user is created one can enable Cloud Access for that User account. When Cloud Access is granted to that User, an email is sent to the User’s email address where the other person can then create a MyCloud.com web portal account. Once that account is created the person can use that secondary login information either in the MyCloud.com web portal or in the My Cloud mobile apps or in the My Cloud Desktop program or WD Sync to gain access to that Share and upload/download files/media.
