I currently have a WDLive & a WDLive Hub. I record TV onto my PC and it is saved as a .ts file. The WD devices play them just fine, but when I want to fast forward I can only use x2 (sometime x4). I thought some of this was caused by my PC doing the streaming, so I bought the WDLive Hub to do the streaming. This does the same thing, even when I am viewing it from the WDLive Hub. The files are are located on the Hub, so the streaming should not be the cause of this.
Anybody have any suggestions as to what is my problem?
So, what happens when you try to go faster?
When I try to go faster then x2 or x4 it stops all together and brings me back to the main screen to select which video to watch. So then I am back at the beginning.
If I do say to resume then it brings me to some random location in the video.
What happens if you use the Skip to Desired Time function?
(Press OK during playback, select Skip to Desired Time , input time and select Submit )
I have tried that to skip to 30 minutes into a 1 hour show. And it skipped to 10 minutes until the end. So then I tried 20 minutes and it skipped to 20 mintes to the end. I finally was able to get to 30 minutes when I told it to go 10 minutes into the future.
I had to use this approach after I went greater than x4 fast foward and it booted me out of the show.
