I own the WD Cloud 2TB and a while ago I bought a WD Green 2TB that now lives inside a Logilink UA0107 USB3 case.
Although the drive is perfectly usable through Windows 8 and Ubuntu box, WD Cloud refuses to recognise it.
I’ve formated the drive a few times (exFAT, NTFS, ext4) but nothing changed.
On one occasion it reported the drive was connected in the web UI, but showed up as 0kb.
dmesg reports the following:
[241870.255336] xhci-hcd xhci-hcd: Timeout while waiting for a slot
[241870.261408] hub 1-0:1.0: couldn't allocate port 1 usb_device
A search in the forums resulted in this locked thread: http://community.wd.com/t5/WD-My-Cloud/USB-external-drives-showing-0kb/td-p/603957 but no usefu results came out of it.
What is the best way to contact WD support for the matter?
I feel like this is due to some kernel problem the WD team is not ging to bother with, but I was wondering if someone had any tips.
