External disk for Win XP

I need a new storage disk for my old desktop HP Compaq 6720q with Windows XP Pro.
I’m thinking a 2T external disk, please suggest me the correct model of WD External drives for me.

If you want Basic Storage … then the WD Elements range

If you want Password / Encryption Storage … then the WD MyBook range

WD Elements will be cheaper than WD MyBooks

And if WD MyBooks enclosures fail you can’t just remove the HDD and use in another enclosure (your data will still be encrypted) … WD Elements drives, you can remove the HDD and place in another enclosure to access your data.

Thanks, therefore non problems of compatibility with Windows XP ?
I will prefer the WD Elements for my domestic use

I have used 2TB, 3TB and 4TB WD Elements drives with Windows XP without any issues
