Extend Volume with Second RAID Array

I have an EX4100 with 2x4TB drives configured with RAID 1. If I purchase an additional 2x6TB drives and configure them with RAID 1, can I extend the original 4TB volume to 10TB? Or can the second RAID array only be used as a separate volume?

Hi apsum41,

If you purchase the new drive of same capacity then you can migrate the RAID 1 to RAID 5 without data loss. If you want to purchase the drive with the higher capacity then you have to use it as a separate volume.
