I have a 1TB mybook that i broke the usb port on the back of. I removed the harddrive and mounted it internaly in my desktop but its not getting reconiuzed, it has power as i can feel it tuen on and ive tried using different SATA cord that work fine but my computer is not reconizng the drive. Im not sure if there’s firmware im missing but it worked fine as an exsternal
If this is a drive that came with Smartware it is hardware encrypted by the board with the broken port. So if you can get the drive recognized the data will be useless.
