I really need heklp with my  friends sister external my book hard drive the usb port on the board in the my book hard drive broke .

I bought an external case for the 2 tb wd green hard drive in it .

It will not show up in my computer shows up to dissconect usb shows up where you can manage the hard drives it shows up as unallocated space but i know it is almost full any ideas how i can recover data .

Possible get it usable again .

  Would  massively appreciate it all

If the drive came with Smartware the data is hardware encrypted and needs that board to decrypt it. Either find an identical replacement board or try getting a new USB port soldered back on the board.
