Hi all, I’m hoping the community can point me in the right direction.
I have an EXS2 Ultra on my Mac network, containing a single 2TB 7200rpm drive, & everything is working as expected.
I bought a 2TB SSD (& caddy so it physically fits), & was intending to replace the current hard drive with it, to speed things up.
The EXS2 is apparently set in ‘Raid’ configuration, which may have been a mistake, as it wouldn’t let me format the new drive, when I put it into slot#2
I fitted the second drive anyway, & after the leaving the unit to do its thing for around 24 hrs (much whirring & clicking), it settled down, & I assumed had maybe mirrored drive#1 to drive #2?
Anyway, I tried taking out drive#1, & the unit just wouldn’t boot, so i’m guessing that didn’t happen?
Could someone kindly talk me through the most efficient way, of cloning & swapping these drives over, & keeping my Data & directory structure intact?
