Email notification service FQDN

Hi

We have several WD My Book Live’s arround in the company. They are in a subnet where we do not have Internet. I want to use the Email-notification service, so I opened in the firewall for the IPs of the My Book Live’s the domain name wdc.com. Unfortunately the service does not work yet. Does someone maybe know which FQDNs / IPs or whatever I need to open for those drives to get the notification service work?

I could not find that information in the web, so I opened a case and asked WD. But since over 2 weeks now I did not get any feedback from them regarding this question even though I sent them a few mails meanwhile asking for a status update on the case. It would be great if someone could help me with that.

Thank you very much in advance

Welcome to the Community.

Hopefully an experienced User will be able to assist. However, I believe the unit needs full Internet access instead of individual permissions.

Edit: Only one port needed and I added the host it connects to:

These are the outgoing ports I had to open to allow the notification service to work:

TCP 58705 notify.senvid.net

UDP 14330

I don’t have specific target IPs at the moment as my device hasn’t sent any notifications lately.

And if it helps, this is a summary of what my My Cloud Personal (single drive) typically connects to each day.  Note that due to an error in my reporting code, the first octet of IP addresses is being cut off.

@Gregg

Thank you very much.

Opening this address in the firewall solved the problem and now I can use the notification service.
