Drive Failture

So couple weeks back my pr4100 said my drive in bay 1 has failed and my volume is degraded and since then i have tried a spare drive i had laying around but it still says drive failure so fast forward 2 weeks i had the failed drive replace by rma and just got it back today and i popped it in and sure enough even with a new drive it still says failed drive starting to think i have a busted drive bay and thats crazy considering i got this NAS for less than 4 months…

I can’t seem to get ssh to run but first disk just says bad and full disk test doesn’t even see disk one but its a brand new drive. I even tested it in another external enclosure

Also says degraded but scan disk says no errors found

This is what i got but i think its scanning my computers hdd how do i use it to scan my new drive?

i tried smartctl -h and i think the last one smartctl --all --device=areca,3/1 /dev/arcmsr0 is the raid but im not to sure/

smartctl -a /dev/sda (Prints all SMART information)

smartctl --smart=on --offlineauto=on --saveauto=on /dev/sda
(Enables SMART on first disk)

smartctl -t long /dev/sda (Executes extended disk self-test)

smartctl --attributes --log=selftest --quietmode=errorsonly /dev/sda
(Prints Self-Test & Attribute errors)
smartctl -a /dev/sda
(Prints all information for disk on PhysicalDrive 0)
smartctl -a /dev/pd3
(Prints all information for disk on PhysicalDrive 3)
smartctl -a /dev/tape1
(Prints all information for SCSI tape on Tape 1)
smartctl -A /dev/hdb,3
(Prints Attributes for physical drive 3 on 3ware 9000 RAID)
smartctl -A /dev/tw_cli/c0/p1
(Prints Attributes for 3ware controller 0, port 1 using tw_cli)
smartctl --all --device=areca,3/1 /dev/arcmsr0
(Prints all SMART info for 3rd ATA disk of the 1st enclosure
on 1st Areca RAID controller)

but this pops out when i type in the command

C:\Program Files\smartmontools\bin>smartctl --all --device=areca,3/1 /dev/arcmsr0

Use smartctl -h to get a usage summary

and sorry im not that tech savy and i appreciate the help alot.

So i couldn’t figure out how to get the smart data while the drive was still in the nas so i popped my new drive into a external enclosure and this was the data a i got
