Device is not ready

Hi - Just plugged in a new WDBBGB0080HBK-NESN It shows up on Disk Management, but only when I try to initialize it, I get an Error Message that says, " The Device is not ready." attached is a pic of the screen that pops up. I’m really excited to use it as my internal HDD is almost full. Any help you might give me would be greatly appreciated.

This is unusual. The device should not be allocated out of the box.
